Nutcracker Auditions are this Friday, September 6th from 4pm-8pm. Ballet Levels 4-6 and men are encouraged to attend. Come prepared with scheduling conflicts for your calendar.

Collaboration with HMA
We were excited to once again collaborate with our friends at the Hickory Museum of Art for their Art of Adventure event. HBPA students, parents, and staff enjoyed the night of entertaining others with classical variations from around the world and being entertained by the stories of Jeff Cline’s adventures.
Ribbon Cutting to Celebrate Our Non-Profit Status
On August 14th, the Chamber of Commerce hosted a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony to celebrate our new 501(c)3 status. We were so grateful for this chance to talk about our mission and hopes for the future, as well as successes of this past year.
Fresh Performance at the Farmer’s Market
HBPA spent Saturday morning, August 17th at the Farmer’s Market! We talked about fall classes and students demonstrated some of their work. We love our studio and telling others about it!
Patriotic at the Old Soldiers Reunion Parade!

HBPA Provides Entertainment at HMA 75th Anniversary Gala
HBPA dancers performed several pieces at the Hickory Museum of Art’s 75th Anniversary Light Up the Night Gala on February, 9th. Gershwin-inspired ballet pieces, choreographed by Anthony Schweighardt, greeted guests as the walked in. Ballerinas in tutus provided live music box entertainment in the miniature gallery. HBPA Joins Ice Ball
HBPA dancers joined the Western Piedmont Symphony for their Ice Ball fundraiser on January 11th. They provided dancing to accompany the vocal number performed by executive director, Ingrid Keller. It was a surprise performance to honor their diamond level sponsors. We had such a great time participating in this wonderful event!
