Registration: 

Registration Fee: $50 per camp, nonrefundable deposit to reserve your spot in camp

(Deducted from camp tuition. Remaining balance due the 1st of the month in which the camp is held)

Tuition:

$175 Half Day 

$325 Full Day 

Refund Policy: If cancellation occurs prior to ten days before camp begins, an administrative fee of $30 will be deducted from the refund. Refunds will not be issued for cancellations occurring after the ten-day deadline. 

HBPA reserves the right to cancel any camp if the minimum enrollment is not met, in which case, a full refund will be issued.

Camp Descriptions

June 8th-12th 

MT Musical Theatre – HATS (Ages 6-10) Grab your hat! It’s time to party! Hats of all shapes and sizes take over the stage when a group of milliners help Hatless Hank find the perfect hat. Clever rhyming script and songwriting explore all kinds of hats, their uses and the people who wear them. This week-long musical theatre camp will perform on the Drendel Stage on Friday, June 12th.

June 15th-19th 

Ballerina Camp (Mini Dancers 4-6 years old) This tiny “intensive” for our littlest dancers will focus on all things ballet. We’ll twirl, leap, make crafts and have lots of fun learning ballet! Dancers will participate in an in-house Performance Demonstration on Friday at 11:30 am.

Ballet Junior Intensive (Ages 7-11) Focus on learning Classical Ballet Technique, improving flexibility and strength, while increasing vocabulary. Dancers will also watch a special demonstration about dancing on pointe, and how pointe shoes are made! Additional classes may include nutrition, injury prevention, Progressing Ballet Technique, and ballet history. Dancers will participate in an in-house Performance Demonstration on Friday at 3:30 pm.

Ballet Intensive (Ages 11-18 ) For dancers with a strong commitment and interest in the art of Classical Ballet. Learn to work like a professional with a 6 hour daily schedule of classes and rehearsals. Watch as your technique and artistry soar! Daily classes may include pointe, variations, nutrition, injury prevention, PBT, and ballet history.  Some students will be selected to participate in student choreography for the in-house demo. Dancers will participate in an in-house Performance Demonstration on Friday at 3:30 pm.

July 13th-17th 

KPop Dance Camp (Ages 6-12) Join the fun at this high-energy camp that lets kids learn cool K-pop choreography while exploring different dance styles like hip-hop, ballet, jazz, and tap. Campers will play movement games, learn fun routines, and build confidence and coordination, just like the members of Huntrix! Dancers will participate in an in-house Performance Demonstration on Friday at 11:30 pm.

July 20th-24th 

Musical Theatre Camp (Ages: 6-18) High School Musical-2! Jr. School’s out, so it’s time to sing, dance and celebrate for the Wildcats of East High! Rockin’ songs and action-packed dance numbers keep all of our actors busy as we learn this show in one week!  Auditions will be held on May 16th, from 1-4 at HBPA Studios, for those interested in being considered for a principal role. Please enroll before May 2nd, in order to receive important audition details and materials on May 3rd. Performances July 25th & 26th at Hickory Community Theatre. 

August 3rd-7th

Wish Upon a Star (Mini Dancers: Ages 4-6)   Campers will explore a variety of dance styles inspired by iconic animated films while building technique, creativity, and confidence. This camp is perfect for young dancers who love storytelling, music, and bringing their favorite characters to life—one step at a time. Dancers will participate in an in-house Performance Demonstration on Friday at 11:30 am. 

Aug 4th-20th: Tues-Wed-Thurs

**Students must enroll in all 3 weeks!**

Season Prep: Ballet (Levels 3B/3C/4/5/6, placement class required)  Brush up your skills and get back in shape just in time for Nutcracker season!  Along with technique and conditioning, we will learn group choreography and design and shape the season’s outreach. Tuition is the same as a half day camp.

Season Prep: Musical Theatre (Levels 3A/3B/4/Freshmen) Learn this year’s fall musical and prepare for a September performance!  Students must attend Season Prep to be cast in the fall musical.  More information and dates coming soon in our season announcement! Tuition is the same as a half day camp. 

Season Prep: Broadway Rep: (Level 5, placement class required) Challenge yourself to learn original Broadway choreography alongside local community actors as they prepare for a performance of a famous Broadway classic. (This does not include a performance opportunity unless you are cast in the show from the public audition.) 

*If participating in two Season Prep sessions (choosing MT or Broadway), please register for the class that lists BOTH. This is considered a full day camp.*
